Heading on a ski trip? Want to take your bike with you? Everything you need to know about flying with sports equipment is right here.

Travel requirements

If you are flying with sports equipment‚ please follow these guidelines:

Flying with sports equipment must be coordinated and booked in advance. Please fill out our dedicated form for sports equipment and special items‚ specify the type of equipment and its dimensions‚ and send it to: support@tusairways.com.

Please note: If you do not book in advance‚ we reserve the right to decline carrying your equipment at check-in‚ without any legal or financial liability towards the passenger.

Payment is made in advance according to the rates shown on this page. Any equipment not listed here will be charged as excess baggage.

If we check your equipment at the airport and find it exceeds the booked category‚ you will be charged based on its actual size and weight.

You should fully insure your equipment for its complete value. We accept sports equipment under a "Limited Release" agreement (which you will sign when handing over the equipment at check-in). Please note that the airline is not liable for any damage or loss.

To protect your gear and prevent damage:

  • You must use a dedicated hard-shell case designed specifically for transport.
  • Make sure your equipment is well-secured inside the case.
  • Ensure the packaging is sturdy enough to protect other luggage form damage.
  • Secure all zippers with padlocks.
  • Bicycles: Please use a dedicated bike bag‚ turn the handlebars inward‚ deflate the tires‚ and remove the pedals.
  • Diving gear: You will be asked to prove at check-in that your oxygen tanks are completely empty by opening the valve and leaving it open for the duration of the flight.
